Stanhopea Yolanda Breck is a spectacular orchid hybrid created by crossing Stanhopea Dachart × Stanhopea Lydia Bush, registered by Ecuagenera in 2016. Its botanical ancestry includes Stanhopea saccata, S. insignis, S. grandiflora, and S. tigrina var. nigroviolacea.
This remarkable hybrid produces large, highly fragrant flowers with an extraordinary structure. The blooms display attractive shades of cream, yellow, and golden orange, decorated with contrasting reddish-brown spots and markings. Their unusual shape and richly coloured lip create a truly impressive floral display.
Stanhopea Yolanda Breck prefers intermediate temperatures, bright, filtered light, high humidity, and good air circulation. Regular watering is recommended during active growth, using a well-draining medium that retains some moisture.
As with other Stanhopea hybrids, the flower spikes develop downwards, making open baskets particularly suitable for successful flowering.
With its spectacular flowers, intense fragrance, and fascinating hybrid ancestry, Stanhopea Yolanda Breck is an exceptional addition to any collection of unusual orchids.
