Microcoelia cornuta

Microcoelia cornuta is a botanical species of aphyllous orchid originating from Madagascar. This small orchid, with no foliage, thrives in intermediate to warm temperatures and medium to high light intensity. While the plant may display transport damage on its leaves due to importation, it is purely aesthetic and not harmful to the plant. With a fragrant bloom that appears once a year in spring, this adult orchid requires 3-5 waterings per week, allowing the roots to lightly dry between waterings. A weekly soak of the entire plant in water for a few minutes is also recommended.
