Dendrobium aphyllum ‘variegated’

Dendrobium aphyllum ‘variegated’ is a botanical species native to Thailand, Vietnam, and India. This orchid thrives in medium to large sizes, requiring intermediate to warm cultivation temperatures and moderate to high light intensity. While in active growth, it needs plenty of water. During late autumn and winter, heavy watering and fertilization should be stopped, but light misting is recommended to prevent excessive drying out. The plant may shed its leaves, but lower temperatures and strong light can encourage flowering in the following spring. With a once-a-year flowering frequency in spring, this orchid is best cultivated mounted on wood in an adult stage.
