Cattleya walkeriana f. azul

Cattleya walkeriana f. azul is a beautiful colour form of the Brazilian botanical species Cattleya walkeriana, particularly appreciated for its distinctive bluish-lavender flowers and delightful fragrance. The blooms feature broad, beautifully shaped petals and an attractive lip with deeper violet-blue tones, creating an elegant and harmonious floral display.

The plants are cultivated mounted on wooden slabs, allowing the roots to grow freely with excellent aeration, closely resembling their natural epiphytic growing conditions.

Cattleya walkeriana prefers intermediate to warm temperatures, bright, filtered light, moderate to high humidity, and excellent air circulation. Mounted plants require regular watering, particularly during warmer periods, allowing the roots to dry between waterings. A slightly drier period after growth has matured can encourage healthy development and flowering.

With its beautiful blue-toned flowers, pleasant fragrance, and natural mounted presentation, Cattleya walkeriana f. azul is a distinctive addition to any collection of botanical Cattleyas.
