Cattleya Hawaiian Wedding Song × bicolor

Cattleya Hawaiian Wedding Song × bicolor is a fascinating hybrid combining the elegant, large-flowered characteristics of Cattleya Hawaiian Wedding Song with the distinctive colouring and multifloral qualities of the Brazilian botanical species Cattleya bicolor. The flowers may display beautiful shades of pale pink, lavender, greenish-bronze, and purple, often complemented by a contrasting, richly coloured lip. As a seed-grown hybrid, some natural variation in flower colour, shape, and markings can occur between individual plants, making each specimen unique.

Cattleya Hawaiian Wedding Song itself is a hybrid between Cattleya Angel Bells and Cattleya Claesiana Alba, contributing an interesting and prestigious genetic background to this cross.

It thrives in intermediate to warm temperatures with bright light, moderate humidity, and excellent air circulation. This plant is cultivated in a pot using a coarse, highly draining orchid substrate that provides excellent aeration around the roots. Water regularly during active growth, allowing the substrate to dry well between waterings and avoiding prolonged water stagnation.

With its interesting parentage, elegant flowers, and potential for beautiful colour combinations, Cattleya Hawaiian Wedding Song × bicolor is a distinctive and rewarding addition to any Cattleya collection.
