Lepanthes calodictyon

Lepanthes calodictyon is a spectacular miniature botanical orchid species native to Colombia, particularly appreciated for its extraordinary ornamental foliage and extremely compact growth habit. Unlike many other Lepanthes species, its main attraction is its beautifully patterned leaves, displaying an intricate network of contrasting reddish to bronze-coloured veins against a deep green background. The tiny, delicate flowers add further interest to this fascinating species, making it a true jewel among miniature orchids.

These are very small plants, cultivated mounted on small pieces of wood to closely replicate their natural epiphytic growing conditions. They thrive in cool to intermediate temperatures with low to moderate, filtered light, consistently high humidity, and gentle but effective air circulation. Frequent watering is essential to prevent the delicate roots from drying out completely.

Important: These miniature orchids have been recently imported and may still be adapting to their new growing conditions. The product photograph is intended to provide an indication of the actual size of the plant, helping customers understand just how small these specimens are.

With its extraordinary patterned foliage, miniature dimensions, and fascinating botanical character, Lepanthes calodictyon is an exceptional addition to any specialised collection of miniature orchids.
