Cattleya Eximia

Cattleya Eximia is a spectacular primary hybrid between Cattleya warneri and Cattleya purpurata (formerly Laelia purpurata), combining the impressive flower size and elegant shape of C. warneri with the graceful appearance and distinctive colouring of C. purpurata. The large, fragrant flowers typically display beautiful shades of pink to lavender, complemented by a prominent lip featuring deeper purple to magenta tones. This hybrid combines the desirable characteristics of two iconic Brazilian botanical species, producing elegant and showy blooms. It thrives in intermediate to warm temperatures with bright light, moderate humidity, and excellent air circulation. This plant is cultivated in a pot using a coarse, highly draining orchid substrate that provides excellent aeration around the roots. Water regularly during active growth, allowing the substrate to dry well between waterings and avoiding prolonged water stagnation. With its prestigious parentage, impressive flower size, delightful fragrance, and elegant colouring, Cattleya Eximia is an exceptional addition to any Cattleya collection.
