It boasts strong, thick, uniformly shaped green leaves and large white flowers reminiscent of the Amami variety. Its name, ‘Yokozuna,’ reflects its top-ranking qualities, much like the Sumo wrestlers it is named after. This small-sized orchid thrives in environments with good air circulation and filtered light. Cultivated mounted on wood, it requires intermediate temperatures and moderate light intensity. With a blooming size plant stage, it flowers once a year from spring through fall, exuding a delightful fragrance. Care includes regular watering, with a weekly soak and daily misting, particularly when mounted in August.
