- Is a predominately yellow flower .Here is a description of ‘Kibana’:
Please note, Kibana crosses usually have lots of purple to red markings on the foliage.
Exported out of Japan as Neofinetia falcata, but often referred to the Japanese as a Neofinetia ‘Hybrid’, ‘Kibana Fuuran’ is a beautiful yellow flowered Neofinetia cross. ‘Kibana’ means ‘Yellow Flower’ in Japanese. The flowers typically open white and darken to yellow over the period of about a week. They have a different fragrance than regular Neofinetia and also tend to bloom in the early spring or late fall/winter, and when large can bloom more than once per year, though typically they do bloom the same season as the species overall.
- How to grow mounted: wet when dry, spray water every day, and once a week soak the whole plant in water for a few minutes
