General Contract Conditions
For the use and online sale on the website: www.orchidable.ch
- The contractor is not responsible for (color) deviations due to screen quality or differences in screen settings.
- Any costs paid by the customer will be refunded when the entire order is returned in good condition.
- If the customer chooses a more expensive delivery method than the standard delivery, the contractor will not reimburse the additional costs.
- If the delivered product does not conform to the agreement, the customer must inform the contractor within a reasonable time after discovering the defect, considering that plants are perishable. The customer must provide photos to prove that the products do not conform to the agreement.
- The contractor will always pack the products as carefully as possible to minimize transport effects, noting that plants are living organisms and transport may have visible impacts.
- The contractor has no direct control over the carrier’s handling of the package and thus is not responsible for any damage or loss during shipment.
- ORDERS
All orders are binding. Please ensure your interest and that the delivery address is clearly and correctly indicated. Costs for returning shipments due to incorrect or missing delivery data provided at the time of the order will be charged to the customer (including any storage and delivery costs).
Plants will be sent NOT IN BLOOM.
The size of the plant is specified in the item description but may not necessarily indicate the delivery size.
Only in the FLOWERED category can you order orchids in bloom (or with a stem).
Size and Dimensions
Due to the variety of products for sale, plant sizes can range from a few centimeters to over a meter, depending on the different varieties and/or species.
- Plants at N years to flower strength: These are young plants that will take about N years to start flowering.
- Flowering strength plants / adult plants: These are young plants that have reached the necessary size to flower within the year and/or plants of good size that have already flowered multiple times.
The ability of plants to reflower over time depends solely on the care provided by the customer and cannot be guaranteed by Orchidable.
Pot sizes and supports may vary depending on availability.
All photos on the site are indicative, and the plants received may differ slightly.
Some photos in the “SHOP” section come from other websites: if someone recognizes their photo and does not want it on this site, please let us know, and we will remove it.
If you need the package by a specific date or urgently, please write it in the order notes.
Online sales are not subject to a minimum order.
- PRICES
Prices in the shop are shown in Swiss Francs and include VAT. Prices may change during the year due to adjustments or discounts.
- PAYMENT

Shipment will be done ONLY after receiving your payment.
- DELIVERY, SHIPPING, AND PACKAGING COSTS
Upon ordering, you will receive an automatic email confirming receipt of the order. If you do not receive confirmation, the ordering procedure may not have been completed correctly or the email may have ended up in the spam box. If so, please contact us directly via email ([email protected]).
From that moment, it may take 24/48 hours for the order to be processed. Shipments are made from Monday to Wednesday to ensure the package does not remain stationary over the weekend; therefore, all orders placed after 12:00 on Wednesday will be processed the following Monday.
Packaging and shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
The service used is DPD with signature and parcel guarantee.
- Shipping costs: CHF 12.90.-
- Free shipping for orders over CHF 120.
- Shipping is possible ONLY in Switzerland.
- DELIVERY TIMES AND CONDITIONS
To safeguard the integrity of the plants, shipments are made from Monday to Wednesday to ensure the package does not remain stationary over the weekend.
This means express delivery from the time the package is collected by DHL’s partner, not necessarily the day after placing the order if placed after Wednesday.
The DHL Express service normally delivers reliably the next business day after the package is collected.
The delivery times mentioned above refer from the time of assignment to the courier.
Guaranteed shipping even in winter.
Transportation responsibility lies with DHL, not Orchidable.
Shipping is always at the customer’s risk.
Orchidable assumes no responsibility for inefficiencies attributable to force majeure such as accidents, explosions, fires, strikes and/or lockouts, earthquakes, floods, and other similar events that prevent the execution of the contract as agreed.
- RETURN OF GOODS / CREDITS / DAMAGED ARTICLES
If the ware was damaged during shipment, please inform us via email or phone within 24 hours of receiving your items.
Do not resend parts of the order and do not dispose of the plants without our agreement.
The package is guaranteed up to CHF 700 by DHL, so Orchidable can open a damage claim. For this, it is necessary to have photos of the box and plants from the buyer showing the damage and any messages of delay from the courier.
Given the delicate nature of the product, it is not possible to return plants that comply with the order concluded by the customer.
Orchidable generally reimburses correctly using the same payment method used by the customer for the purchase of the returned products. If this refund is not possible, you will be asked for an account for a bank payment.
No refund is provided for late shipments caused by DHL without damage to plants.
None of the above conditions affect your statutory rights in the event of damaged items.
Items purchased in the SALE category, even if they have some defects, are not refunded.
- DATA PROTECTION
We do not provide or share your data with third parties. All personal data will be treated with privacy.
All data entered into the system during the purchase process are encoded with secure SSL technology.
Orchidable is not responsible for any fraudulent or illegal use that may be made by third parties of credit cards, checks, and other means of payment during the purchase process. At no time during the purchase procedure does Orchidable have access to the customer’s credit card number, which is transmitted directly to the banking service manager via a secure connection.
- PROPERTY RESERVE
The items remain our property until full registered payment is received.
- COMPETENT COURT AND APPLICABLE LAW
This contract and sales organized by Orchidable are governed by Swiss law. The competent court is CH – 6500 Bellinzona.
Force Majeure
Orchidable is not liable for any delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, strikes, and other unforeseen events.
